Marian het Lam-Minekus is the founder of Frou Frou Flowers. After a corporate career of twenty years in finance, law and organization she felt a growing need to express herself through floral design. To learn all the ins and outs of floral design she went back to school:

The Boerma Institute, Aalsmeer

At this world renowned school of floral design she studied two years and learned classic and contemporary design techniques, but most of all she discovered an amazing creativity and talent for thinking out-of-the-box, or in this case we should say "out-of-the-vase".

In 2013 she moved from The Netherlands to the USA, where she renovated a fixer upper together with her husband. During this 3 year project she got to know new materials and techniques, which she now uses in her floral designs.
